An Exciting Vision for Anmore South

Over the past 2 years, icona has been engaging with the community, valuing your input as an integral part of shaping our collective vision for a Made-in-Anmore neighbourhood where residents can live, work, play and retire in nature.

In May of 2023, we submitted an application to the Village of Anmore for an amendment to the Official Community Plan. This comprehensive application delineates our new vision for the community and lays out the essential planning requirements for the Anmore South lands. It also establishes a framework and policies for a phased development spanning the next 25 years. Over the coming years, we will be further engaging the community to create a Neighbourhood Plan and Rezoning Application.

In the coming days, you may notice OCP Amendment Application Notice signs posted on site by the Village of Anmore. Following this notice, the Village of Anmore will be convening an initial hearing, providing the public an opportunity to offer feedback on the proposed amendment. In preparation for this event, we warmly encourage you to explore our proposal to gain a thorough understanding of the development process.

At icona, we envision a gradual transformation for Anmore South. A vision predicated on principles of sustainability, sensitively managing growth to foster a more complete community within Anmore while retaining the Village’s semi-rural character. The OCP Amendment application provides the framework for a sustainable mixed-use village set within the forest – structured according to walkable neighbourhoods, connected parks and trails, offering a full range of housing forms. Learn more.

We look forward to continuing to engage with residents as we move through this comprehensive planning process. As always, don’t hesitate to reach out to our Director, Community Relations, Michael Hind at mhind@iconaproperties.com if you have any questions or feedback.
